Verse Of The Week

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Матфея 11:28

Придите ко Мне все труждающиеся и обремененные, и Я успокою вас;

Bible question of the week:

Can anyone, who is living on our planet earth right now, earn salvation based on his/her works?

Welcome! Thank you for stopping by to view our page. We are glad to have you here. Cell group "New Life" is one of the youth cell groups at Sulamita Church. Why have cell groups? In the Bible Apostle Paul wrote "Therefore encourage one another and build up one another..." Thessalonians 5:11.

We live among this perishing world.The fact is some of us are perishing along with it, while others are living sin-independent life style. There are only two categories of people that exist and you are definitely in one of them. The sin-independent life is a new life that is in Jesus Christ. Only through Jesus, the son of God, a human being is able to come to an Almighty, Most Holy and unconditionally loving God and live this sin-independent life.We gather to talk about Him.

We welcome visitors and would be very happy to have you join us. We gather all over the Portland area every Thursday at 7pm. The cell group is lead by Sergey Svirid.

God, who wants best for us did everything He could to make the connection with us a reality through the sacrifice of His son Jesus. He send Jesus Christ as an invitation letter to the fallen men.

-Why are we still living outside of Him? We call ourselves Christians, we even say we are reborn, but truth is we are far from Him. We have tossed God’s letter of invitation aside thinking that a religion is good enough to substitute that close relationship, which He wants to have with each of us.

Why is God so interested in us people? Whould He be absolutely right if He didnt sent out the invitation letter to us and send all people to hell? What do you think?  –feel free to share your thoughts by leaving a comment…

Can faith exist without works? Do works save you? Is faith and works different from each other? So are you justified by faith or works? Can I go to church, call myself a Christian, read Bible, and do good works and not have faith? What is your answer? Feel free to leave a comment...

Listening to Dima Zhelnovakov, our youth pastor on Friday i would have to say that i agree on everything he said. Since we are one body of Christ, there should be no divisions among us. If we go to this church we need to respect the teaching that is given in this church and respect our leaders.

I’ve been in the middle of all these debates for years and I’m tired of all this. It didn’t bring me any good and it didn't bring our youth any good. Not a single ounce of love or unity was added since the arrival of Calvinism in our youth. We need to be followers of Christ not followers of John Calvin, Billy Graham, John Piper, Martin Luther, John Macarthur or any other human being.

Christ gave us salvation. Christ died for out sins. Christ brought us forgiveness and Christ is our mediator and high priest in front of Almighty God. He is the one you should be having a intimate relationship and praising Him all your life. I wish peace and unity to our church, our church leaders, our youth and our youth leaders.

May God bless our church and His bride on this earth!

Is Jesus Christ your foundation? Life is short. It might seem like you have whole lot of years ahead of you. It might seem like you haven’t tried everything life has to offer yet.

It might seem like life will continue like this, the way it’s going, forever. The truth is, you don’t know whether you will be given your next breath. The truth is, you don’t know when eternity will start for you. The truth is, there will be no second chance in eternity. On what foundation are you building your life? What are your priorities? Is it education? Is it a nice car? Is it big house? Is it a goal to have a good career? Is it to have a big amount's of money in your lifetime? If Jesus Christ is not your foundation for your life then you are wasting your life.

It doesn’t matter who you are, it doesn’t matter where you’re going to get in this life. It doesn’t matter if you are good moral person. If you don’t have Jesus Christ as your foundation in your life, you are living worthlessly! RE-think, do you spend most of the time thinking about Jesus Christ when you’re alone or when you’re  with your friends?

RE-think, do you have the passion to read the bible everyday and to pray at any moment? RE-think, do you act the same way in church as you act at home or among your school friends? If no, then you might just happen to play religion and call your-self a Christian when you’re actually not. Being born and raised in a Christian family doesnt mean your a Christian.

You’re not reborn and therefore are no different from a worldly sinner that is living an ungodly lifestyle. Your heading to hell while- going to church, maybe singing in youth choir, coming to youth Friday's services, maybe even donating to the poor, just as that sinner who is not doing all this and is heading to hell.. You need to ask Jesus Christ to bring you alive, so your eyes can be opened, so you will be able to see yourself as a lost sinner. You need to repent. You need to ask Jesus for forgiveness of all your sins. You need to start a new life with Jesus Christ.

Until this moment happens, in your current life you will be- just a religious person, maybe knowing about God, going regularly to church, reading bible once in a while, praying sometimes, maybe even growing up to be a great bible theologian or a bible teaching professor, but actually never being reborn and never having a real relationship with Jesus on this earth. And later, after your time of death, while stepping into the eternity, finding out that all this was pointless… RE-think, what is your foundation? ...

Just Like Me
Dear Lord, forgive our yielding to temptation;
Forgive our pride, our love of worldly things.
Have mercy on our love of sensual pleasure,
Compassion on the sins that self love brings.
It must be hard to understand us sometimes;
So very different is your heart and mind.
But wait, I just remembered that you do know
What it’s like to be a part of humankind.
You suffered just like we do, and you were tempted.
You lived with us so you could comprehend
The things that we go through each trying day,
So you could give us mercy, and be our friend.
Thank you for compassion and forgiveness;
Thank you for your love and empathy.
Thank you, Lord, for coming down from heaven
To experience life’s trials, just like me.
