We will begin Chapter 3 this Thursday. Apostle Paul begins with reminding us that if we “have been raised with Christ,” then we are to “seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

This is a call to all Christians to true spirituality. True spirituality and maturity in our Christian lives is defined by whether or not we set our affection on things above and not on things on the earth. That is to say, we, as Christians, are not to have our affections and lives based on the world system, but to seek things above and be heavenly minded. This is a requirement for every Christian, for every person who has been raised with Christ. It is not optional, but rather necessary. I’d like us all to be challenged this Thursday during the Bible study and to analyze our daily thinking patterns and to examine where is it that our affections and desires are directed towards.
